Through each of the classes we offer, we will provide a brief history of an art discipline in addition to completing a project by the end of the class. Focusing on how different materials are used to create beautiful works of art and understanding the complexities to which artist work.

It is critical to recognize the importance of art education as its own discipline. Art education is much more than making things. It enables participants to develop and creatively express their ideas and solve problems.

We have easy to use, creative kits that we provide to each participant which include all the materials and instructions needed for the specific arts and craft project.

•Art is a link to the past. It provide an enjoyable perspective from which to examine history and make the connections to topics in the present and future.

•Art helps students to understand and empathize with people from historical times, gaining a better understanding of what people have endured at various times and places.

•Art provides children an opportunity to create and do, which can be a refreshing break from the normal school subjects of math, science, and English.

•Art teaches students how to interpret different forms of communication. This particular art program teaches them to understand figurative things that they can use in the future like symbolism, metaphor, and the meanings of color.

•Art improves academic achievement. Evidence suggests that students who actively participate in some form of art—whether it be painting, drawing, acting, music, etc. –perform better in other subjects than students who don’t participate in art.
